AloWater

I picked up one of these Alo waters at Whole Foods the other day. I have heard that Aloe is good for the skin. I didn't know you could or should ingest it. This stuff is really good! I think mine was a peach and raspberry combination. The label says 25% juice and the sugar content is a bit high, 16 grams I believe.

It's really refreshing and tasty . There are pieces of aloe pulp in it that def give it some "pep".

Josie Maran Argan High Gloss Lip Quench

Hey! It's been a while! I've been busy and feel like I am getting back into a routine after the holidays.

For a long time I used Clinique Super Balm every night before bed. It was the only thing I found that was truly a treatment for my lips. I had a three pack I bought in Destin FL a few years ago. It lasted a long time- then I was out.
I have finally found a replacement. I dont' frequent department stores because I shop online a lot. I had tried a couple of other "treatment" type of moisterizers and nothing cut it. My lips were not getting nourished.
I bouught some of the Josie Maran product last week and it's amazing. It was $16 so, a little pricey but it's all natural and feels SO good on. If you want, you can wear it over your lipstick . The shine is great.
I got it at Sephora.
 That's it!

Sales Sales Sales

Don't Forget...this is THE time of year to score clothing at really good prices. If it's a cool and or good piece of clothing, it will never go out of style! Trends, schmends...

I got two soft turtleneck sweaters at Gap for twelve bucks a piece this weekend. I also ran into Victoria Secret for an exchange and remembered their Semi- Annual sale is happening right now!!! Amazing deals to be snatched up.

My Mini Vaporizer

You know I love Bed Bath and Beyond. That store encases everyday, practical ( and sometimes not so practical ) goods that make our lives easier and sometimes a bit more fun :) It doesn't hurt that they constantly send you coupons in the mail ( which by the way, do not expire, I have asked).

The last time I was in there I noticed the tiniest humidifier/ vaporizer I have ever seen. They are so small , they were in a clear package hanging on an end cap. I live on the bottom floor of my building. Even though it gets super damp in the warm weather, it still gets dry and icky in the Wintertime. I headed there yesterday, coupon in hand and decided to pick one up.

It's so small I wondered, does this thing really do anything?
It was marked $20 plus I had the coupon so I grabbed it.

It's by Homedics, a brand that I know is trusted and well - liked. It's intended for " travel, your desk, personal space , etc". Last night I had it on the floor right next to my bed ; my little Lucy would not be having that thing on my nightstand , she would knock it off in an instant. At this moment, it's just behind me on my table next to the couch.
If anything, it gives off a soothing , quiet sound and you really can't lose for $20.

Clarisonic Mia 2

I have recently joined the Clarisonic club. I have heard nothing but great things and I am surprised it took me so long to get one. The Clarisonic doesn't scrub in circles like I figured it did. All of the other face gadgets , I assumed, scrubbed in circles. The Big C actually vibrates. Some of my skincare gurus have taught me that the "other gadgets" damage your skin. I see a change in my skin. I feel that my pores are being cleaned better and my products are really starting to work! Of course they are, they have a clean base to sink into.

Thumbs up to the Clarisonic. They come with a cap for the brush so you can travel with it. Mine also came with a sample of cleanser that I am really liking too! It's Clarisonic brand, apparently they have a product line too.

Philosophy by Diane Lewis

Happy Friday-

As you know, the Mid-West was recently "hit" with some cold temperatures and snow. I keep an eye on the weather forecast and knew what was coming toward Cincinnati. Last night we had really strong winds. This morning I awoke to howling winds and a very cold temperature in my apartment! I laid in my bed, snuggled in with my flannel sheets and heating blanket, and did not want to get out of my cocoon!

What got me out of bed? The thought of slipping on one of my Cashmere sweaters and some velvet leggings. Talk about a warm outfit! I have now bought two Cashmere sweaters over the last year or so and have fallen in love. The one I wore today is by Diane Lewis. It was a really affordable piece so if you have an opportunity, look at her collection. Good stuff!

Max Studio

Nordstrom Rack is absolutely one of my favorite, if not the favorite store of mine. The treasures and finds that get passed "down" from Nordstrom Department store are killer!!!

I tend to dress up at work more than the average gal. I really like dresses. No top and bottoms to match up, just throw one piece on and you are set. The Rack, as I affectionately refer to it as, consistently has a nice stock of Max Studio dresses. They are great!
I didn't used to be a big M.S. fan, but my tastes and style has evolved and I now have a few of this designer's dresses in my closet. The dresses fall right in the middle of the conservative-fun scale. They are not boring- at all, but they are totally office appropriate and are rarely flashy or too much for the cubicle ,fluorescent light environment. The price is always on point too, in my opinion. Max Studio is a  good quality brand.
